Hi, I'm Priyanshi π
I was two years into my college when I hit pause. Not because I was done with college, but because there was one idea I just couldn't stop thinking about. So I took a gap year and started building Forbidden Reflections full-time, right here from Delhi NCR.
The idea was simple: why are mirrors so boring? You look at one every single day. It deserves a personality.
Every mirror is a memory
None of our designs are random. Each one comes from a real moment in my life. Here are a few of them.
2 Minute
If you grew up with siblings, you already know. Maggi was never just Maggi in our house. It was a negotiation, a race, and usually a full-blown fight over who gets the last bite. Two minutes to cook, twenty minutes of arguing. This mirror is for every sibling who has ever guarded their plate with their life.
The Nacho Bag
This one is all my grandma. You'd expect a grandmother to be into mithai or chai biscuits. Mine? Obsessed with nachos. Like, genuinely obsessed. It's the last thing I ever thought would be her snack, and that's exactly why I love it. The Nacho Bag is for her, and for every grandparent who surprises you.
The Polaroid
Me, my best friend, and the girls' trip we've been planning forever. You know the one. The group chat is active, the itinerary is half-made, and the dates keep changing. The Polaroid is that frame we haven't clicked yet, but definitely will.
So honestly, I'm not giving you a mirror. I'm giving you a bundle of memories, hoping you attach your own.
Since then it's been college fest stalls, late-night packing sessions, and even a custom mirror made for the Chief Minister of Delhi. Still feels unreal tbh.
Made by women. All of them.

Forbidden Reflections is an all-women team, start to finish.
The women who wrap and pack your mirrors come from low-income families right here in Delhi NCR. We work with them on a daily basis: whenever orders come in, we call them in and pay them for the day. It means the work stays local, and the money goes straight to the women doing it.So every order you place is a day's earning for someone in our neighbourhood. Your mirror has attitude. It also pays the bills. πͺ
